Sébastien Poly, owner of the “Domaine u Stiliccionu” in Corsica, that travelled mostly in New Zealand and Australia before taking over this 12ha. property, is producing biological wine since 2005 -white, red and rosé. He is using local vine plants such as Sciacarellu, Grenache or Vermentinu and cultivate the vineyard traditionally with a cart, treat it only with copper sulphate. In the future, Sébastien intend to grow wine with abiodynamic method. In total the farm includes 6ha. vineyard, 2ha. olive trees and 1ha. vegetable garden. The property is located in Serra-di-Ferro, a village located 8 km from Porto Pollo, south of Corsica.
Slow food: everyone is welcome helping tying up the vines and budding out for springtime, collecting grapes in September and participating in the wine production. One can also learn to make grappa!
In November, one can come and help collecting olives and press olives to make oil. Sébastien is always keen on talking about organic farming methods he is using.
From mid-January on, one is invited to help planting new vineyards, settling the green house.
Several other tasks are planned as well for the spring time.
Price: stay for free in a caravan or tents, possibility to wash and cook on the spot as well.
